Problem
"Error 127 loading DVD browser plugin" appears when attempting to install Backup Exec 2012 on Windows 2003 without a service pack because Windows 2003 without a service pack is not a supported operating system for Backup Exec 2012.
OR
Error "Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application" appears when attempting to install Backup Exec 2012 on Windows 2000 because Windows 2000 is not a supported operating system for Backup Exec 2012.
Solution
Upgrade the operating system to a version that Backup Exec 2012 supports, and then try the installation again. For information about supported operating systems, see the Backup Exec Software Compatibility List:
