Issue

PureDisk DR Backup policy being sent to a NetBackup server fails

Error

DR Backup Job details on PureDisk server

*** Error Message ***

shared.nbudisasterrecovery.2265

severity: 6

server: 1705000000

source: DRBackupCRSpool_DRBackupCRSpool

description:  Unable to get the imageId

*** End ***

Environment

PureDisk 6.6.x
NetBackup 6.x, 7.x

Cause

The DR backup failure is caused by a mismatch in hostname configuration between PureDisk and NetBackup. For example, if PureDisk was installed and configured to use the fully qualified domain name but in the NetBackup policy the hostname or IP address are specified, the mismatch will cause bpclimagelist to fail when it queries the NetBackup master server for image information.

Solution

Correct the hostname configuration mismatch between PureDisk and NetBackup so that both products use the same value of hostname, IP or fully qualified domain name.
