In a Backup Exec 2012 CASO (Central Administration Server Option) environment, a backup job can be configured to run on one server and the linked duplicate job to run on a different server. However, the jobs must be set up in a specific way to enable both jobs to run successfully.
Note: This issue applies only to shared disk storage devices. It does not apply to other shared device configurations, such as a shared Deduplication disk storage device.
Run the backup job on the managed Backup Exec server and run the duplicate job on the Central Administration Server. Note that this solution is specific to shared disk storage devices. It is not applicable to other shared device configurations, such as deduplication disk storage.
