Are Symantec Endpoint Protection Exclusions Configured for Backup Exec Disk-Based Storage Devices?

Solution

This report retrieves the Symantec Endpoint Protection folder exclusions and compares them to the following Backup Exec Disk-Based Storage types:
  • Backup to Disk folders
  • Deduplication destination.
If Symantec Endpoint Protection is not installed, please configure your AntiVirus software to exclude the file/folder paths specified in this report.

Without these exclusions, backup performance can suffer and some important files related to your backups could be accidentally removed by your AntiVirus software.
