What is the upgrade procedure to Oracle 11G and CommandCentral Disaster Recovery Advisor (DRA) 6.0. from DRA 5.4 and Oracle 10g?

Customers could require assistance to upgrade using a documented procedure for Oracle 11G and DRA 6.0 from DRA 5.4 running on Oracle 10g .


DRA 5.4 / DRA 6.0

Oracle 10g / 11g

Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit






Upgrade requires a mandatory procedure


Make sure there is at least 60 gigabyte of free disk space on the target installation partition (drive).

It is recommended to install Oracle not on the OS disk drive.

In order to upgrade DRA from 5.4.1 to 6.0 the administrator must:
1. Backup the DRA database
2. Upgrade Oracle from 10g to 11g   (instructions attached)
Note: Please see attachment for detailed mandatory instructions on database preparation, table manipulation and complete the upgrade as described prior to completing the following steps.
3. Upgrade DRA from 5.4.1 to 6.0 by running the DRA 6.0 installation
4. Install DRA 6.0 SP1
