Environment

Issue



Multiple entries for software with different versions in the Installed Software reports and resource lists when software is upgraded.

 

Installed programs within Windows Control Panel ONLY list lastest version.

All client computers have submitted latest inventory, successfully.

- Verified from resource manager that inventory is latest 

All altiris reports and within resourcre manager for each effected computer lists ALL previous versions of product with installedFlag=1

Verified from tables inv_addRemoveProgram & inv_installedSoftware

 

- install product is listed with different versions.

Inventory Solution 7.1 SP2


Cause



Unknown - this does not happen with all software.


Solution



A fix for this issue is included in Version 7.1 SP2 MP1 roll-up v4
This issue has also been corrected in Version 7.5
