You want to know what ports LiveUpdate Administrator (LUA) 2.x, Symantec's current internal LiveUpdate server, uses by default.
The ports used by LiveUpdate Administrator 2.3.1 are is use by LUA's database and webserver components. LiveUpdate Administrator 2.3.2 will, by default, use the following four TCP ports:
|Port Number||Port Type||Description|
|7070||TCP||used by LUA's webserver, Tomcat|
|7071||TCP||used by LUA's webserver, Tomcat|
|7072||TCP||used by LUA's PostgreSQL database|
|8009||TCP||used by LUA's webserver, Tomcat|
|[changes]||UDP||used by LUA's PostgreSQL database|
These ports can be changed in order to avoid a conflict by adjusting the C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate Administrator\tomcat\conf\server.xml file and the C:/Program Files/Symantec/LiveUpdate Administrator/pgsql/data/postgres.conf file. It is not recommended that administrators attempt to manipulate these configuration files unless they have advanced knowledge of Tomcat and PostgreSQL.
