Problem
This document contains the instructions required to provide IBM Domino NSF database files to Symantec Support for analysis or investigation.
Cause
By default, NSF databases may not be accessible by others if appropriate steps aren't taken before.
Solution
Please follow the steps below:
- From Lotus Notes client, open the SMSDOM database that needs
to be provided to Symantec, as shown in the following picture:

- Once the database is open, create a new local replica of the database
by selecting menu "File" > "Replication" > "New Replica", as shown in the following picture:

(Lotus Notes version 8.5)
- Ensure that no local encryption is enabled and that the ACL is not
copied during the replica, as shown in the following picture:

Above, click "More Settings..." to ensure ACL is not copied:

- Once the file is replicated locally, it can be provided to
Symantec Support for further investigation.
