If you are seeing errors when trying to download Mobile Library items, follow the steps listed below to re-create the item that is causing the errors.

Solution

Open your Symantec Management Console.

Go to Home > Mobile Management.

Click on Mobile Library Editor. (you may see a prompt saying that you need to install Silverlight)

Select the 'Items' tab at the top of the Mobile Library editor window.

Click the 'New Item' button (or click the paper and pencil icon to the right of the item you want to re-create)

Enter the necessary information.  You will need to name the item, give it a version number, enter the author of the item, and so on.

Select the Item's Category and Type.

Uploading files is the most complicated part.

Before you upload anything, you need to have an icon.  This icon will be what appears in the Mobile Library on devices so people browsing the Mobile Library can see more clearly what the item is.

If you want your item to be visible in the Mobile Feed, you need to check the box next to 'Item is Published'.  You can also 'feature' your item, which shows it more prominently to the person browsing the Mobile Feed.

Your icon must be 57 pixels high by 57 pixels wide.  The icon must also be in <icon_name>.png format.  If your icon is not 57 by 57 or it is not a .png, you will not be able to download the item or you will see unusual errors.

Once you have created a .png file that meets the above requirements, you can continue.

Click the 'select files' button and select your 57 by 57 icon that you just made.  Next, select the item you want placed in your Mobile Library.  Click the Upload Files button, then click OK once the files are uploaded.

Your Mobile Library item is now created.
