Which version of Symantec Enterprise Vault (tm) can this hotfix be applied?
This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault for:

Enterprise Vault for File System Archiving 9.0 Service Pack 3, Build 1088

What issue(s) does this hotfix resolve?
On certain Celerra systems, list of directories under a given folder are not represented in alphabetical order.
Due to this FSA check point mechanism does not function properly as it checks the list of folders traversed in last run in alphabetical order.
As folders are not in alphabetical order, folders which got traversed in last run are archived again and again.

How to Install this hotfix:
1. Stop Enterprise Vault Admin Service on Enterprise Vault server where FSA tasks are running.
2. Once the Enterprise Vault services has stopped, take a backup copy of the files listed in the "Files updated" section, locatable in the Enterprise Vault installation folder (which by default is "C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault", or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault" on a 64-bit machine).
3. Copy the updated files"KVS.EnterpriseVault.FileServerArchiveCommon.dll" and "EvFsaArchivingTask.exe" packaged in this hotfix, to the Enterprise Vault installation folder, replacing the original.
4. Create a registry key 'CheckpointSort' of type DWORD under 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\FSA' on a 32-bit machine OR 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\FSA' on a 64-bit machine and set its value to 1.
5. Start Enterprise Vault Admin Service.
 
How to Uninstall this hotfix:
1. Stop Enterprise Vault Admin Service on Enterprise Vault server where FSA tasks are running.
2. Once the Enterprise Vault services has stopped, take the backed up copy of the files listed in the "Files updated" section and replace the hotfixed files, locatable in the Enterprise Vault installation folder (which by default is "C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault", or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault" on a 64-bit machine)".
3. Start Enterprise Vault Admin Service.
