Problem



Under some circumstances, the Outlook Add-in allows the user-initiated deletion of a mailbox's protected "Special Folders" (e.g., Inbox, Sent Items, etc.). Ordinarily, Outlook prevents users from deleting these folders, and Enterprise Vault's Outlook Add-in seeks to mirror this prevention when deleting folders containing Enterprise Vault shortcuts.

 
However, the Add-in does not successfully mirror this prevention for mailboxes that are not the primary mailbox of the Outlook profile. Special Folders in delegated mailboxes and containing Enterprise Vault shortcuts can be deleted, which should not be the case.


Error



The folder in question is moved to the Deleted Items folder, as in the following screenshot:
