By default, Recovery Solution Agent will always try to use the proxy server. In case an external proxy is used Recovery Solution Agent will obviously fail to communicate with the Recovery Solution Server as the external proxy will not be able to resolve the IP address of the Recovery Solution Server. The workaround is to make the Recovery Solution Server IP address publicly available.
Recovery Solution 6.2.2106
On the Recovery Solution Agent please replace the following three files by doing the following:
- Stop the Recovery Solution Agent Services.
- Replace AeXRSAgt.exe, AexRsCfg.dll, and HttpSrv.dll.
On the Recovery Solution Server and Notification Server, replace the Data1.cab in the following locations:
|C:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\Bin\Win32\X86\Recovery Agent Package||Notification Server|
|C:\Program Files\Altiris\Recovery Solution\Server\Agent\Install||Recovery Solution Server|
|C:\Program Files\Altiris\Recovery Solution\Server\Agent\Package||Recovery Solution Server|
To learn how to Modify the Data1.cab file, follow the instructions in the article 24583.
Note: The hotfix was replaced by the updated version of it. The code has been reworked.
