Issue

When trying to import into the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) a client package for a SEP for Mac computers, the error "Sylink.xml file is missing or corrupted in this package" appears.  The source path used for SEP_MAC package files was "<installation_source>\SEP_MAC\".

Error

"Sylink.xml file is missing or corrupted in this package"

Cause

Incorrect source file specified

Solution

For Macintosh SEP Export Package the correct source path needs to be directed to an .info file under the following location: <Installation_source>\SEPM\Packages\Sep_mac.info

This file can be found either in the complete SEP download image e.g. Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1_RU1_Part1_Installation_XX.exe or Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1_RU1_SEPM_XX.exe (SEPM only).
