When performing Deduplication Backups of a certain folder with a certain jar file, all backups on this folder failed with Status 84.

From the spoold session log, the fingerprint never made it to the Puredisk server.  It was never logged in the spoold session log.
 


Cause



This issue was caused by a bad network interface on the NetBackup media server.


Solution



There was a bad network interface on the media server causing the issue.
 

Address the network issue to resolve the issue.
