What is Symantec Help Beta for 12.1 RU2?
Note: If the expected wizard mode does not appear re-run SymHelp with the -wizprod switch. (9/18/2012)
Note: To avoid updating to a potentially newer GA build of SymHelp use the command-line switch -noup when running this Jaguar build. (9/17/2012)
Note: The Symantec Diagnostic and Product Advisor, or SymDiag, is now called Symantec Help, or SymHelp. (9/14/2012)
Symantec Help, or SymHelp, is a utility designed to quickly and efficiently diagnose common issues encountered with supported Symantec products. SymHelp can be used either to diagnose problems that you encounter or, proactively, to ensure that your computer is ready to install the supported Symantec product.
This Beta tool for the 12.1 RU2 build has been designed to collect data on the 12.1 RU2 build of Symantec Endpoint Protection. If 12.1 RU2 is detected on a system, this build will run in a special "wizard" mode to provide options to collect detailed data from the system.
Note: Symantec Help is compatible with English versions of Microsoft Windows. It has not been tested on non-English versions of Windows.
