When attempting to install pcAnywhere on Windows 2000 SP4, the following error message may appear:
The dynamic link library gdiplus.dll could not be found in the specified path C:\A\Corporate\Bin;.;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS\system;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Symantec\pcAnywhere\.
This error can occur on a Windows 2000 computer that is missing the Windows gdiplus.dll.
The error is caused by the missing Windows gdiplus.dll, which is needed for pcAnywhere installation.
Download and install the Windows file gdiplus.dll, which is a redistributable MS package. After gdiplus.dll is found, the pcAnywhere installation should complete successfully.
