Problem
This article describes specific hardware models that are no longer supported by Symantec, based on the Symantec Messaging Gateway Hardware Testing Support Statement.
Solution
Based on the Symantec Messaging Gateway Hardware Testing Support Statement, Symantec no longer supports these hardware models for Symantec Messaging Gateway:
- Symantec Mail Security 8220
- Symantec Mail Security 8240
- Symantec Mail Security 8260
- Symantec Mail Security 8320s sold prior to May 2008 (based on the Optiplex GX745 platform)
- Symantec Mail Security 8340s sold prior to November 2008 (based on the Power Edge PE860 platform)
