Deleting a site

In a multi-Site Enterprise Vault environment, it is desired that the node for an unused Site be removed from the Vault Admin Console (VAC). However, there is no option in the VAC to delete a site.
Deletion of a site via the VAC is not currently supported.
Because an empty Site can remain in the VAC with no adverse effect on functionality, this is a purely cosmetic issue that can be safely ignored. Should special circumstances warrant it, deletion of the VAC's Site node can be accomplished with specially designed scripts that can be obtained by contacting Symantec Support. Currently such scripts are available for Enterprise Vault 8.0, 9.0, and 10.0.
There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time. However, this particular issue is not currently scheduled for any release.
