KNOWN ISSUE: Can't change an application source path using Windows Installer Source Path Wizard

Issue



An Application Management task which is generated by Windows Installer Source Path Wizard goes into an infinite loop and can't change an application's source. This problem occurs only in a Japanese environment.

Windows Installer Source Path Wizard generates a change task with wrong arguments. In a Japanese environment, wrong arguments in Japanese are passed the generated task as shown Fig-1 (attached to this article). Fig-2 is in case of English environment, is generated a task with proper arguments (Yes/No Scan).

Solution



Workaround: Modify the wrong command line arguments of the Windows Installer agent package on the Configuration tab.
