Environment

NetBackup 7.1.x.x with MSDP / DataDomain Storage Servers.

Solution

Restarting the Storage Server has been known to resolve the issue in a few reported cases. For MSDP, simply stop and start NetBackup services on the MSDP server itself.

For Windows, the commands are:

<install path>\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\bpdown -v -f

<install path>\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\bpdown -v -f

For UNIX/Linux:

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/netbackup stop

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/netbackup start
