After upgraded to 7.5 and customer already have Netbackup Accelerator licensed, customer try to enable Accelerator feature in the Policy and when click apply it popup with errors

"Storage Unit selected in one or more schedules does not support the accelerator"

even customer has correct MSDP configuration defined in the Policy.

Error

The Storage unit selected in one or more schedules does not support the accelerator.
To use the accelerator, select storage units from a supported storage server: Puredisk Deduplication (PDDO)
Media Server Deduplication (MSDP), Symantec clouds, and other qualified storage servers.
Currently configured and supported storage servers are: Puredisk on xxxxxxxx

Environment

Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 sp1
MSDP is installed on master server all in one
Accelerator licensed
Master server has feature ID 88 - Accelerator license

Cause

Upgrade Netbackup to 7.5 version from releases prior to 7.1 where the Storage Server optimizing image flag can be dropped. The flag is needed for optimized synthetics and Accelerator.

Solution

Manually set using optimize image flag by use following commands:

nbdevconfig -changests -storage_server crow -stype PureDisk -setattribute OptimizedImage
nbdevconfig -changedp -stype PureDisk -dp pd_crow -setattribute OptimizedImage

Verify the above configuration by run following command:

nbdevquery -listdp -stype PureDisk –U
