Problem
System deadlock or panic observed in Solaris clustering environments.
Environment
Affected Operating System: Solaris 10, x86 and SPARC
Symantec Critical System Protection version: 5.2.0 RTM through 5.2.8 MP3 (5.2.8.264)
Cause
Issue caused by sisips driver holding a critical shared lock around a blocking call.
Solution
The sisips driver in SCSP 5.2.8 MP3 HF2 has been updated and now releases a critical shared lock around a blocking call that resulted in a system deadlock.
