BE 2012 shows that the license requirement for Backup Exec has not been met.

Issue



After adding license keys for Backup Exec, the License Assessment Tool (BELAT) reports that the license requirement for the product has not been met. Backup Exec remains in trial mode.

Solution



Path for .slf files:

Server 2003: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Licenses

Server 2008: C:\Program Data\ Symantec Shared\Licenses

-Delete all of the product related .slf files, reboot the media server. Do not delete files with naming convention "Maint" or "Maint1."

-Add the license keys again.
