Issue



Symantec Endpoint Encryption Full Disk does not support third party Single Sign On (SSO) software that replaces or modifies Microsoft Windows GINA.


Error



None.  Login fails.


Environment



Windows 7 Professional
Windows XP Professional
Imprivata OneSign Agent SSO Version 4.5.258.258
SEE Full Disk 8.2.X


Cause



Symantec Endpoint Encryption Full Disk does not support third party single sign on software that modifies Microsoft Windows GINA.


Solution



Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.  This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.  Please be sure to refer back to this document periodically as any changes to the status of the issue will be reflected here.

 

Possible Work Around:
1.)  Disable Symantec Endpoint Encryption Single Sign On feature.
-Or-
2.)  Disable Symantec Endpoint Encryption Pre-Boot Authentication if it is not required.
