Issue



Tape Device BUFFER SIZE selected value is not saved in the Backup Exec 2012 User Interface


Cause



If the buffer size is set higher than the max block size, then it reverts to 1K upon the next UI start. Refer : TECH69559 to determine the maximum allowable block size for a tape drive


Solution



This Issue is now fixed with Backup Exec 2012 Service Pack 1 (TECH186717)
