How to recover Storage Replicator jobs

Solution

As long as the RMS (Replication Master Server) has been backed up by third party software or RXDB files are copied to another location, the Storage Replicator jobs can be recovered or restored.

The process is as follows:

1. From the RMS machine, stop the RMS service (if started).
2. Browse to the databases directory.
    a. <drive_letter>\VSR\Databases  (drive_letter will be the location they installed VSR to)
3. Rename the RXDB and RXDB.index files.
4. Restore the RXDB and RXDB index files from tape or backup location.
5. Restart the RMS service.
6. Open the console and start the replication job.
