Problem
The pcAnywhere Thin Host does not start automatically when booting the Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD) using LightsOut Restore (LOR).
This is confirmed by running 'netstat -a' which shows that the recovery environment is not listening on ports 5631/5632 (as per http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH106675).
Solution
This issue is resolved with Service Pack 3 (10.0.3) for SSR 2011. SP3 is available via FileConnect (https://fileconnect.symantec.com/).
NOTE: The 10.0.3 Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD) contains the fix for this issue. The 10.0.3 SRD must be used when setting up LOR.
