When you setup a backup job to only run on a MBES server to a shared storage device you can't assign the duplicate job to run to a device only accessible by the another MBES server.

The MBES servers have their local deduplication folder and the deduplication folder is shared with CAS.The CAS server does not have any local storage.One of the MBES server also has the locally attached robotic library.We need to run the run the backup job to deduplication folder and needs to duplicate it to tape. When we create a backup job for any server from CAS server and in “Backup Exec Server Pool” if we select Any Backup Exec server then the duplicate job does show the RL in the storage of that MBE server. But in the backup job, if we select a particular Backup Exec server (server affinity) in “Backup Exec Server Pool”, then the duplicate job does not show the robotic library.

This issue has been Resolved in a newer version of Backup Exec. To resolve this issue and receive the new Backup Exec improvements please upgrade to the current version of Backup Exec.
This issue is resolved in Backup Exec 2014 or later versions.
There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in earlier versions of the software at the present time.
