Workaround:

1. Make sure that all media requested on submitting the restore are available. If the medias are available then the restore job will load them one by one and restore from the correct media.
2. If the all the medias requested or not available then follow these steps.

• Install Backup Exec on a different server and inventory, catalog the media on the new server and run the restore.
• The restore should run with requesting any other medias. If the new server does not have a Tape drive connected then Duplicate the Tape backup set on the original media server to a B2D (Backup To Disk) and move the B2D to the new server. Inventory and catalog the B2D and run the restore.

This issue is currently under investigation by Symantec Corporation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software.
