Problem

How to get a backup from a part of vmdk or excluding vmdk, using Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure (AVVI).

Cause

Selecting a vmdk and excluding a vmdk from a virtual machine for both backup and restore are not supported.

Solution

Please use Agent for Windows or Agent for Linux to get a backup from a part of virtual machine.

Granular Restore Technology (GRT) enables to restore a part of files or specific application from a backup of a entire virtual machine of Windows servers.
