Issue



Upgrade from BE 2010 R3 to BE 2012 fails with the error “Failure -1 running migration library 0”. The failure occurs during execution of Pvlupgrade library.

A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Documents at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.

Backup Exec 2012 Rev 1798 Service Pack 2 (TECH203155)
 

Please select the option to Roll back the Installation to previous version, and then retry the upgrade using the Backup Exec 2012 SP2 or later embedded installation media to resolve the issue.  The latest media can be downloaded via http://fileconnect.symantec.com.
