Technical Solution


During backup operations against a remote server, the Backup Exec Remote Agent process crashes and causes a failure of the job. The Windows Event log message, and resulting error in job log are shown in the Error section below.


Event ID: 1000, Description: Faulting application name: beremote.exe, version: 14.0.1798.0, time stamp: 0x4f1e02d7. Faulting module name: MSVCR100.dll, version: 10.0.30319.1, time stamp: 0x4ba220dc. Exception code: 0xc0000005

0xe0009b61 - Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it. The logon account does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the user name and password are correct in the logon account.
