Error



The Source 'Symantec CCS' is not registered in log 'Application'. (It is registered in log 'Symantec CCS'.) '' The Source and log properties must be matched, or you may set Log to the empty string, and it will automatically be matched to the Source property.


Solution



WARNING: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Special care should be taken when making changes to the Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be performed by people with experience using the registry editor. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.

  1. Open Registry editor utility (Click Start > Run, then type regedit)
  2. Select the Registry window named HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
  3. Open the levels until you reach the Registry key named:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\Application (refer screenshot below)
  4. From the Edit menu, choose Add Key to display the Add Key dialog box.
  5. Rename it to Symantec CCS 
    • Note :- Key name is case sensitive and no values need to be copied or added under this key.
  6. Export the query results again
