"Directory is invalid" error while browsing DFSR User Data.

In Backup Exec 2012 unable to browse Shadow Copy Components for DFSR User Data beyond the root replicated folder.


A "Browse Failure. The directory is invalid." error appears.




"Browse Failure. Failure to browse 'FolderName'. The directory is invalid."






Backup Exec 2012


An issue exists in the Backup Exec 2012 User Interface browsing feature.






1. Edit the Backup Selections and drill down the Shadow Copy Components node  
   Shadow Copy Components
         User Data
              Distributed File System Replication
2. Right-click YourFolder and select Include/Exclude from the popup context menu. Manually enter the path from that point forward for inclusions/exclusions.
