Problem
In bv-Control for Oracle, while running a query on the Listeners datasource, the field "Is Admin Restricted?" returns an incorrect value.
Solution
- The correct Parameter value for Admin restrictions is "ADMIN_RESTRICTIONS_<LISTENERNAME>=ON" (If parameter value is ON, Then the field will return "YES" otherwise it will return "NO" in the result.
- bv-Control for Oracle reports on the parameter available in the Network Listener configuration file (Listener.ora). Ensure that the user has at least read permission to this file
- The Oratab file must be present in /var/opt/oracle (Solaris) or /etc (Linux) directory for this query to run successfully.
- Check that the parameter is configured correctly as per the Oracle documentation without any spelling mistakes.
