Issue



When Sharepoint is configured with its databases in a default (unnamed) instance of SQL server, performing a backup of that server will show the Sharepoint databases being backed up both by the Sharepoint agent and by the SQL agent.  Normally, these databases will be excluded from the SQL agent backup. 


Solution



A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Documents at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.
