Problem
After upgrading to NetBackup 7.5.0.3, VMware Backups started failing with Status 6 (the backup failed to back up the requested files) reported.
Error
Messages similar the following may appear in the Detailed Status for the Job:

This issue has only been reported with NetBackup 7.5.0.3.
Cause
The issue occurs because we were unable to find the VDDK (Virtual Disk Development Kit) libraries.
Solution
The formal resolution for this issue (Etrack 2824271) is included in the following version:
- NetBackup 7.5 Maintenance Release 4 (7.5.0.4)

Note: This hotfix is no longer publicly available, as all of its fixes are included in the NetBackup 7.5.0.4 Maintenance Release. If any of these issues are experienced in a NetBackup 7.5.0.x environment, the supported resolution is to apply the maintenance release.
