Prerequisites
- Administrative privileges are required to install this hotfix.
NOTE: This hotfix is dependent on Backup Exec 2010 R3 revision 5204 Service Pack 2 
 
Post requisites
- A full backup is recommended after installing this hotfix.
- Remote Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this hotfix.
  
Issue(s) resolved
- Job fails attempting an opdupe of NDMP data from a PDDO to another PDDO device (TECH165227)
- Change default restore prefetch buffer size to 32MB.
- PDDE:PDVFS:ValidatePDILocation : Pdvfs PDI Path still not valid after resync. (TECH179164)
- PDDE:CAS Server status shows "Discovering Devices" when restarting services after adding remote servers to RADA. (TECH187605)
- PDDE:DismountMedia fails with ERROR = 0xE0008114 (E_PVL_CHANGER_NOT_AVAILABLE) (TECH181048)
- Server hardlocks and pdfsd is stuck in a loop.
- PDDE: Restore of SQL Database gives “An unknown error occurred on device "Dedupe Folder: X". V-79-57344-34029 - A hardware error occurred” if backup set is spanned and using client side deduplication (TECH187608)
- Repeating oracle inc/diff backups intermittently fail with 0xe000fe30. deadlock on BEDB is reported in the event log. (TECH176686)
- NDMP: PDDE: Restore selections do not show up for a duplicate of an NDMP set when that set was backed up to an OST device and duplicated to another OST device (TECH181434)
- BENGINE crashes in faulting module BENGINE during backups (TECH73720)
- Writes fail due to low space even though LSU stats still show 15% available
- PDDE: BE3600 hard lock on pdfsd.sys during duplicate backups of VMware data to another BE3600 (TECH189250)
- Duplicate to Tape for a GRT backup on DR site with “Private cloud” option enabled fails with “Final error: 0xe000120d - An error occurred accessing data in the Granular Recovery Technology backup-to-disk folder for this job. (TECH184492)
- PDDE:PDVFSService.exe is crashing in pdvfs!pdvfs_flushfile_write_do+317 (TECH190959)
- Tapes are being marked as "end marker unreadable" when appending to media with hardware encrypted AVVI backups or duplicates (TECH191134)
- BEREMOTE crashes in bedsrman.dll on a Windows 2008 R2 Oracle 11G cluster when backing up physical node resources only. (TECH184645)
- Lotus: beremote crash in bedsnote!APITimeOutProc during DB backup
- An OST restore job hangs if media is not found
- Access violation in libsts.dll
- Cannot reconnect to NBU Appliances on Services restart after changing their root passwords
- Blue Screen crash in pdfsd.sys - pdfsd+0xbdca on system that is using a deduplication folder
