Problem
SRAS Database size continually increasing with time. Database performance degraded.
Solution
You can now configure SRAS to purge data at scheduled intervals. You can also define the duration of this interval based on your business requirement. The new feature is useful in controlling the size of the SRAS database that increases with time.
The important features of this enhancement are as follows:
- You can use the SFDatabaseManager to run the purge scripts once weekly. You can configure the frequency for running the purge jobs.
- You can purge the following data:
o Closed configurations
o Closed policy violations
o Closed vulnerabilities
o Dead applications
o Dead assets
- If your business policies demand retaining the data forever or for a long time, incremental archived backups can be used along with the purge scripts.
