Timeout error running the "RemoveStaleAsset.ps1" powershell script in CCS.


"This request operation sent to net.tcp:\\host1.corp.corp2.com:1431/ccs.services/Applications/AssetSystem/IAssetService/WindowsSecurity did not receive a reply within the configured timeout(00:01:00). The timeout allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. this may be because the service is still processing the operation or because the service was unable to send a reply message. Please consider increasing the operation timeout (by casting the channel\proxy to IContexctChannel and setting the OperationTimeout property) and ensure that the service is able to connect to the client."


On the server that is running the powershell snap-ins, find the file C:\program Files\Symantec\CCS\PowerShell Snap-ins\Symantec.CSM.PS.Framework.dll.config 
In the section that starts with:
<!--- NETTCP/HTTP/HTTPS Common Configurable Properties

<add key=”SendTimeout” value=”1”/>
Change it to:
<add key=”SendTimeout” value=”5”/>
No restart of services required.  Open powershell again and run the script.

The script should no longer time out. If the error persists, change the setting from 5 to 10.
