Issue

Attempting to import a DiskGroup with a mix of clone and non-clone devices on a host running Volume Manager 5.1SP1RP2P2 will fail due to missing devices. The DiskGroup can only be force imported. However, the missing LUNs are seen and are writable.

Cause

5.1SP1RP2P2 doesn't support a mix of clone and non-clone devices in the same DiskGroup.

Solution

The customer must determine conconclusively if the devices are supposed to be marked as clone or not. Then, the clone flag can be turned on or off accordingly.

vxdisk set <device>  clone=on|off
