VOM is not detecting Oracle databases within non-global zones.

Issue



VOM is not detecting Oracle databases within non-global zones. When refreshed the host from VOM console, the following two types of errors are printed in logs (/var/opt/VRTSsfmh/DB/log/mh.log)


Error



1)

Cause



The above errors are because of following reasons :

1. For the error ORA-01034, found that ORACLE_HOME is not set correctly in /var/opt/oracle/oratab file.

 

2. The error : "not present in fs_info map"/"Could not find FS id", is a known issue reported under e2781557


Solution



1. Correct the ORACLE_HOME in "oratab" file.

 

2. To fix the issue reported in e2781557 :
