File drop 3 for SWS 6.1 SP8
Environment
MS Windows 7 x64
Note: This driver is only for Win 7 x64 client.

Prerequisites
SWS 6.1 SP8
Note: Create a backup copy of the RegHook.sys file before replacing it.
Installation Steps:
- Copy the attached (RegHook.sys) driver file to the following location and overwrite pre-existing version: <system drive>\Windows\System32\drivers folder
- Open Regedit and create the following DWORD value (set the Value Data to “0”): HKLM\System\CurremtControlSet\Services\RegHook\Parameters\RH_FreeSyncProcRequests
- Restart Windows.
Rollback Steps:
- Restore the original RegHook.sys file to the following locations: <system drive>\Windows\System32\drivers folder
- Open Regedit and delete HKLM\System\CurremtControlSet\Services\RegHook\Parameters\RH_FreeSyncProcRequests
- Restart Windows.

NOTE: This BSOD is a rare symptom that only occurs when numerous variables affect the timing and order of system startup in a specific way. Most customers do not experience this problem. This File Drop is only recommended if you are experiencing the BSOD described.
