Problem
When running GRT enabled backup jobs to RDX media, the media fills up and causes failures of subsequent jobs. A review of the media content using Windows Explorer, shows that the IMG folders are not being overwritten.
Solution
Workaround:
Using the Storage tab in the Backup Exec console, bring up the details of the RDX device and go to the Backup Sets section. Right click on the old backup sets (using the Backup Time field as a guide) and select delete. This should delete the IMG from the RDX media as well.
Note 1: To confirm that a specific job did use the IMG folders that need deleting, check the original backup job log(s) before performing the above workaround.
Note 2: If the older IMG folders have already been directly deleted from the media using Windows Explorer then the above steps should still be performed in order to remove the records from within Backup Exec.
