Note: This hotfix is no longer publicly available, as all of its fixes are included in the NetBackup 7.5.0.4 Maintenance Release. If any of these issues are experienced in a NetBackup 7.5.0.x environment, the supported resolution is to apply the maintenance release.

Solution

(ET 2746427) Calendar Schedules will be rerun multiple times in the backup window in 7.5 if the Backup window spans midnight and the backup starts prior to midnight and finishes on the next day.

(ET 2836015) VIP Jobs fail after midnight with 196 error if its parent started before midnight.

(ET 2836502) VIP child job fail and exceed failure history. Then parents restart continually and fail with 196 status until the window actually does close.

(ET 2854621) nbpem assert/core dump on upgrade

(ET 2874026) nbpem core dumps every few hours

Symantec recommends upgrade to 7.5.0.4 rather than applying this EEB to 7.5.0.3 as upgrade will provide additional fixes, enhancements and stability improvements which are not in this EEB.
