Compression settings for all jobs are maintained during an upgrade.
This includes hardware compression settings for disk based backups to Deduplication Disk Storage or Backup-to-Disk.
Or software compression is enabled for backups targeting Disk Based storage when software compression has not been configured.
The job has been configured for either data encryption or software compression, or both. The job is also targeted to a device that is capable of data deduplication. Encryption and compression of the backup data can prevent much of the data from being deduplicated.
