Problem
Error: "Unspecified error message for master, msdb and other user databases" while querying the 'Database Users' datasource in bv-Control for Microsoft SQL Server.
Solution
One of the reasons for this error message to pop-up while querying the ‘database users’ datasource is that the RMS user account created in the target SQL Server lacks the proper privileges to query the server.
- Grant the ‘db_datareader’ role to the RMS user account on the master database and other user databases which needs to be queried from the RMS console .
