Cause



Etrack 2793753:
FSAUtility -pm do not check for upper threshold of the queue and keeps on adding file items until it consumes all the available memory and quits abruptly and has to be restarted.

 

Etrack 2834088:
FSAUtility restore and recreate operations are not working because of uninitialized parameter being passed to retrieve host entry.

 

Etrack 2815454:
Some changes were identified that could improve database record consistency with regards to updates made as part of running FSAUtility.exe.
 


Solution



What issue(s) does this hotfix resolve?

 

Etrack 2793753:
FSAUtility -pm now checks for upper threshold of the queue before adding file items. This has been done by passing a stop event which brings in the threshold check.


Etrack 2834088:
Corrected the parameter passed to retrieve host entry.

 

Etrack 2815454:
Additional validations have been implemented for FSAUtility.exe –pm operation before database updates occur which will improve database record consistency.

How to Install this hotfix:
The following steps need to be performed on all EV Servers:

 

1.  Stop all Enterprise Vault services.

 

2.  Once all services are stopped, take a backup copy of the files listed in the Which files does this hotfix replace? section.  These are located in the Enterprise Vault installation folder (which by default is C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault or C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault on a 64-bit system). 

 

3.  Copy the updated files listed in the Which files does this hotfix replace? section to the Enterprise Vault installation folder, replacing the original.

 

4.  Start all Enterprise Vault services.

 

 

How to Uninstall this hotfix:

 

1.  Stop all Enterprise Vault services.

 

2.  Once all services are stopped, take the backed up copy of the files listed in the Which files does this hotfix replace? section and replace the hotfixed files.  These are located in the Enterprise Vault installation folder (which by default is C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault or C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault on a 64-bit system). 

 

3.  Start all Enterprise Vault services.
