Exchange 2010 Mailbox restore fails with unknown MAPI errors when the option "Recreate user accounts and mailboxes if they do not already exist on the destination server" is selected

Restore job for a Exchange 2010 Mailbox fails with error “0xe00002f8 - Cannot open one or more mail messages because of unknown MAPI errors” when the option “Recreate user accounts and mailboxes if they do not already exist on the destination server” is selected in the restore job and the user account and its mailbox is deleted and purged from Exchange and Active Directory.
Final error: 0xe00002f8 - Cannot open one or more mail messages because of unknown MAPI errors. Review the job log for more information.
Beremote.log from Exchange 2010 CAS server shows following errors:
 [fsys\mb2] - Checking Permissions for EWS
 [fsys\mb2] - SendSeedMSG: Failed on remote server 80004003.
 [fsys\mb2] - SendSeedMSG FAILED! RC = 0x00000000
 [fsys\mb2] - MapiAdmin::GetMboxList: m_msgStoreDB->GetMailboxTable Failed! hr = 0x80004003
 [ndmp\loops] - Error: OpenObj returns extended error e00002f8
Manually create the same user account and its mailbox and run the restore job without the option to recreate user account.

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time.
