Support for Mac OS X 10.8.0 (Mountain Lion) began with PGP Desktop 10.2.1 MP4. However, newer updates of Mac OS X 10.8 may require a newer version of Symantec Encryption Desktop. You can obtain the latest version of Symantec Encryption Desktop via fileconnect.symantec.com.
For a complete list of Mac OS X versions and their compatible PGP Desktop and Symantec Encryption Desktop versions, please see the following article.
There is currently no available version of Symantec Endpoint Encryption which supports Mac OS X 10.8. However, Technical Support filed a Feature Request to add this product feature. Note that a feature request is exactly that, a request. There is no committed date for this request neither from the Endpoint Encryption Product Management team nor from the Endpoint Encryption Engineering team at this time.
Please be sure to refer back to this document periodically as any changes to the status of the request will be reflected here.
